CNC Machinist (Mazak Specialist)
PrideStaff is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist (Mazak Specialist) to join our client's precision manufacturing team. CNC Machinist (Mazak Specialist) Reports to:

Location:
Hilliard Key Responsibilities: Programming:
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Mazak machining centers (e.g., VMC, HMC, INTEGREX) using Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code.
Setup:
Perform complete machine setups, including selecting and installing tooling, loading fixtures, and accurately setting up work offsets and tool offsets.
Operation:
Operate Mazak CNC machines to produce parts efficiently and safely, monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation:
Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand part specifications, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Quality Control:
Conduct in-process and final inspections using a variety of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and profilometers to ensure parts meet all dimensional and quality requirements.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve machine or program issues, such as tool wear, chatter, or part deviations, in a timely manner.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on Mazak machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to improve manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and solve technical challenges.
Safety:
Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. A vocational school or technical certification in machining is highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of [3-5] years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist.
Proven expertise in setting up and operating various Mazak machining centers (e.g., VTC, HMC, INTEGREX).
Proficiency in Mazatrol conversational programming is a must. Experience with G-code programming is a plus.
Experience with a pallet changer system (e.g., PALLETECH) is highly desirable.
Experience with 5-axis machining is a strong asset if applicable to your operations.
Skills: Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, exotic alloys).
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and move materials or parts up to [e.g., 50 pounds].
