Concrete Finisher/Laborer
Grade, set up, pour, and finish concrete surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, curbs, and stairs. Grade to proper elevations using skid steers, shovels, and rakes, and check heights using lasers and string lines. Construct wooden forms and ensure they are positioned correctly to hold concrete at the correct depth and alignment. Install expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as required by job specifications. Monitor site conditions, ground temperature, air temperature, and humidity levels, making adjustments to mix designs to achieve proper set times. Spread and level concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats. Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures into poured concrete before it hardens as specified. Finish surfaces to the final product specifications using brooms, hand tools, power trowels, and riding trowels. Concrete finishing, Construction, Carpentry, Use of hand tools, Form Carpentry, Concrete Pouring, Masonry, and Finish Carpentry. ACI Certification, OSHA Safety Certifications, Light Equipment Experience/Certifications (Skid Steer, Bobcat, Mini-Hoe, Mini-Excavator), Supervisory skills, and Experience in commercial construction.
