Inventory Control Specialist 1st Shift

Our Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include providing support to warehouse operations from material flow tracking through to site purchasing activities that facilitate having the required inventory and non-inventory items available when needed to meet demand. The Inventory Control Specialist works closely with demand planning, sourcing, purchasing, incoming quality and warehouse operations to ensure the timely availability of materials required to support the firm weekly schedule for kitting, formulation, filling, label printing, labeling, and packaging. The incumbent must be able to work in collaboration with the Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Quality, and Operations organizations, etc. while maintaining accurate files / records and real time data in the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP). The Inventory Control Specialist is a valued contributor to the company priority initiatives, supports monitoring and reporting of performance through metrics, and continuous improvement projects as needed. What the Inventory Control Specialist Does Each Day: Manage indirect supply Kanban levels and site usage requirements; submit requisitions for supply orders to the Purchasing department Work closely with Planning and Purchasing on projections and forecasting to ensure sufficient on hand inventory Perform weekly audits of Infor picking transactions Perform weekly cycle counting of select raw materials, adjust Infor to reflect any variances, and provide counts for raw materials requested by various departments for order requisitioning Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to Finance Monitor inventory to reduce waste, prevent production schedule changes/shortages/stoppages Assemble and analyze data pertinent to inventory management, purchase history, indirect supply usage, and vendor delivery performance Assist with determining operational minimum and maximum safety stock levels Lead cycle counts; monthly, quarterly, and annually Track and monitor raw material expiration dating. Provide "6 Month Expiry Report" to the Supply Chain team monthly for evaluation of material usage prior to expiry Review and escalates transactional errors for correction Lead inventory discrepancy investigations to identify root causes and prevent future transaction errors Work with finance team on cycle count posting and communication of transactional analysis Assist in team meetings and training to support transactional accuracy Track incoming deliveries and work with the Purchasing team to provide delivery updates to the Warehouse regarding large incoming shipments, controlled substance deliveries, and other deliveries that require special or additional receiving processing Communicate and arrange site to site transfers as needed to prevent production schedule changes/shortages/stoppages Identify excess inventory and assist with material return to vendors as needed due to process/usage changes Our Most Successful Inventory Control Specialist: Has a sense of urgency, accountability, and resourcefulness Is a self-starter and independent learner Promotes active listening with team members; Contributes appropriately to conversations; Has strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with other departments within the organization and with people at all levels of the organization Minimum Requirements for this Role: A High School diploma or equivalent Able to successfully complete a drug and background check 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain or other relevant work experience Proficiency using MS office applications, including Word and Excel Experience and proficiency using an ERP system such as INFOR Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge: Associate degree in supply chain, business, or related field Experience in Inventory management and reduction related projects such as establishing Kanbans, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and cycle counting Benefits of Working at Quva: Set, full-time, consistent work schedule Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental and vision 401k retirement program with company match 17 paid days off plus 8 paid holidays per year National, industry-leading high growth company with future career advancement opportunities About Quva: Quva provides industry-leading health-system pharmacy services and solutions, including 503B sterile injectable outsourcing services and AI-based data software solutions that help power the business of pharmacy.
