Wastewater Operator
We are seeking a Wastewater Operator for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform any combination of tasks pertinent to controlling operations of a wastewater treatment plant. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm. This position has a pay rate of $23.24/hr This position requires a New Mexico Level II Certification in Wastewater Responsibilities
Operates pumps, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and processing of influent, effluent and sludge Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings Takes samples and performs laboratory tests and analyses Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties Ability and willingness to work on-call shifts, as requested, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins in a timely manner Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED A valid Drivers License New Mexico Level II Certification in Wastewater 2+ years experience operating wastewater treatment facilities
