Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, working Monday through Saturday from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am. Most of the maintenance work, including preventive maintenance and projects, occurs from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team of five maintenance personnel, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Responsibilities

Perform 80% mechanical maintenance and 20% electrical maintenance throughout the facility. Conduct maintenance and monitoring of conveyor systems, including drive shafts, gearboxes, sprockets, and chains. Engage in preventive maintenance tasks, welding (TIG/MIG), plumbing/piping, refrigeration, and air compressor maintenance. Troubleshoot and maintain inputs and outputs of relay logic/PLC-driven and computer-driven machines. Proactively perform preventive maintenance by monitoring equipment and making necessary repairs. Respond to work orders for repair and replacement of parts throughout the facility. Address approximately 15 breakdowns per day, collaborating with the team to determine the appropriate response. Maintain a detailed notebook of maintenance activities and solutions for future reference. Essential Skills

3-5+ years of conveyor maintenance experience, including preventive maintenance and repair of drive shafts, gearboxes, sprockets, and chains. 5+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and machines. 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience, including relay/PLC troubleshooting and trace and trace techniques. Strong note-taking skills regarding daily maintenance activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in food/baking environments. Refrigeration experience. Plumbing and piping experience. Welding skills, including TIG and MIG. Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
