We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer 3 to support Department of Defense (DoD) aviation weapon systems and air-launched missile programs. The successful candidate will work closely with government program offices, engineering teams, and acquisition professionals to support the development, procurement, integration, testing, and sustainment of advanced weapon systems. This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, particularly in the areas of aviation, missile systems, or related aerospace/defense technologies. Responsibilities: Provide programmatic, technical, and acquisition support to DoD aviation and missile programs. Define and develop quality inputs for statement-of-work (SOW) reviews, product acceptance, and in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Assist with planning and execution of system development, integration, test, and evaluation efforts. Support milestone documentation, program reviews, and lifecycle logistics planning in accordance with DoD acquisition policies (e.g., DoDI 5000.02). Conduct trade studies, requirements analysis, and risk assessments for missile and weapon integration. Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure schedule, cost, and performance objectives are met. Interface with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information. Analyze system performance data, support test events, and provide technical input to system readiness assessments. Prepare briefings, white papers, and technical reports for senior leadership and program managers. Maintain configuration management of program documentation and assist with contract deliverables. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of quality engineering experience. Experience supporting DoD weapon systems, aviation platforms, or missiles. Working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering principles, and lifecycle management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiar with defense acquisition tools (e.g., DAVE, DAMIR, or similar). U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Active Secret clearance. Prior experience supporting NAVAIR, PEO/AVN, AFLCMC, PEO Missiles and Space, or equivalent DoD organizations. Knowledge of MIL-STD-1760, missile integration, stores management systems, or airworthiness processes. DAU training or equivalent certifications in acquisition, systems engineering, or logistics. Experience with digital engineering tools (MBSE, DOORS, Cameo, etc.). U.S. Citizenship Required for this Position:
