DevOps (Engineer 2, DevOps Engineering)

position works onsite from our Sylmar, CA or Sunnyvale, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer 2 to join our team. In this role, you will apply engineering principles to streamline development and deployment processes, support cloud infrastructure, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our applicationsthat support our life-changing medical device software. Youll work closely with developers, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure our systems are fast, reliable, and compliant with FDA and ISO standards. What Youll Work On As a DevOps Engineer 2 working under general supervision, you will apply engineering principles and practices to a variety of development and deployment activities, including but not limited to: Core Responsibilities Build and maintainCI/CD pipelinesthat support traceability, automated testing, and documentation for regulatory compliance. Help design, implement, and deploycloud-based applications(primarily in Microsoft Azure). Coordinate software deployments into validated environments, ensuring everything is well-documented and compliant. Create tools and automation that make our workflows more efficient and reliable. Monitor and supportproduction systems, ensuring theyre running smoothly and safely. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production environments. Team Collaboration Partner with developers to catch potential issues early and ensure smooth releases. Work with QA, regulatory, and external partners to bring high-quality, compliant software to market. Process and Compliance Continuously improve our DevOps processes with a focus onefficiency, traceability, and audit readiness. Support company policies and maintain strong, respectful communication with teammates, customers, and vendors. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 1-3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles. Preferred Qualifications 3 yrs experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles is strongly preferred Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Technical Expertise Knowledge ofsecurity best practicesin cloud and DevOps environments. Experience withautomated testingandstatic code analysistools. Regulatory & Compliance Experience working inregulated environments, ideally in themedical device or healthcare space. Knowledge ofsoftware validation,design history files (DHF), andchange control processes. Strong documentation habits and a mindset foraudit readiness.
