POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

has an exciting opportunity for an
Accounts Payable Lead
to join our finance team in Anchorage, Alaska.The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for reviewing and maintaining accounts payable processesand procedures.
Support and assist with training, and development of Accounts Payable Technicians
Review, approve and post A/P Vouchers up to $100k to include verification of proper approvalsper the SAM and coding per GAAP and Sr. Finance Direction
Provide back up and assistance with weekly Consolidated Payables run and prepare items for inhousecheck runs.
Scheduled reconciliation of the A/P suspense GL account
Monthly reconciliation of the open A/P report identifying errors, expired entries, duplicate entries, etc.
As needed reconciliation of vendor statements
Assist vendors inquiring about late or missing payments
Assign Accounts Payable Tickets to Technician responsible for that subsidiary
Review and approve new vendors
Complete and submit new Credit Account applications
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to filing, making copies, entering vouchers,contacting vendors, communicate and collaborate with Internal departments, and assist A/P staffas needed to ensure efficient operation of the A/P department.
Payrate:$23.60 to $35.40 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent required
4+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
Experience working within a team setting
Customer Service
Knowledge of Accounts Payable with basic understanding of journal entries
Knowledge of GAAP
Knowledge of project level accounting
Ability to read and understand Signature Authority Matrix
Proficient in Deltek CostPoint
Proficient with MS Office, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
Proficient with Adobe
Excellent communication Skills written and verbal
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent data entry to include 10 key
Ability to work and provide training remotely
