$135,000 to $150,000 Flatirons Solutions is hiring an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong background in highly compliant environments to join our team. This role will be crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity tooling that supports our business operations worldwide while ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and networks. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement and securing systems against cyber threats from the ground up. Strong documentation skills and an in-depth understanding of compliance and governance frameworks are essential. Key Responsibilities: Ensure policies and procedures are in place and followed across multiple environments Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests Manage access controls (IAM) and enforce security policies Respond to security incidents and conduct post-incident investigations and root cause analyses Take ownership of new security tooling projects Manage all security aspects of the AWS Cloud environment Assist in obtaining and maintaining CMMC Level 2 certification Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure and cybersecurity needs Document configurations, policies, and procedures Requirements: Education and Certifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are highly desirable Technical Skills: Strong experience with Windows and enterprise Linux systems Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security practices Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN configurations Experience with security tools such as SIEM solutions, DLP, Endpoint Protection Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks like NIST 800-171 and ISO 27001 Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and secure remote access solutions Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects Additional Experience: Experience with the defense industry and controls such as CMMC, FedRAMP, NATO is highly advantageous About Us At Flatirons Solutions, we have a very important job.
