Position summary:
The Water/Wastewater (W/WW) team at our client epitomizes dynamism and innovation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk-averse project scope.
Develop project-specific project plans, including Project Management Plans and quality management plans.
Create and maintain project schedules.
Manage subconsultants.
Monitor and execute project progress, including identifying and mitigating risks, developing extra work order requests, and open-end contract task proposals.
Communicate project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in the office’s project financial status meetings.
Build relationships with clients to understand their preferences and requirements to ensure a quality project.
Prepare progress reports and review invoices.
Develop and lead project status meetings and presentations.
Assist Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with marketing processes, including SMART Go/No-Go decisions, proposal development, and interviews.
Coordinate and guide all technical resources within the project team to ensure high-quality delivery.
Provide coaching and mentoring to the project team through one-on-one meetings and project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management, including setting expectations, goals, providing feedback, conducting 1:1 meetings, and coaching to support growth and development.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
Registered Professional Engineer.
10+ years of experience.
Experience delivering water and wastewater projects from design through construction phases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Additional Experience:
CAPM or PMP certification.
Experience working with local clients at the county and state levels.
Experience with multiple project delivery methods, e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3.
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a general office environment (95%).
Occasional field work outside in various weather conditions.
Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
