mid-career
or
senior critical care attending physicians
with an
opportunity to lead our recently launched Program for Chronic Critical Illness and Recovery . The position offers unique opportunities to collaborate with a large, multidisciplinary team and clinicians from various services across cardiovascular, medical, neuro, neurosurgical, pulmonary, and surgical ICUs throughout the health system. Overview:
The department is one of the largest in the U.S., committed to outstanding patient care, research, and education. It is a system-wide department with over 110 physicians, 55 advanced practice providers, 9 ICU Clinical Associates, and 36 fellows in critical care and pulmonary/critical care tracks. The department provides high-quality critical care across 11 hospitals in Northeast Ohio, including a 64-bed Medical ICU at Cleveland Clinic main campus. As a national leader in healthcare innovation, education, and research, Cleveland Clinic offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with clinical excellence, leadership, and program development experience in chronic critical illness and recovery to: Expand a multidisciplinary team focused on chronic critical illness and post-ICU care, including long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs). Develop and implement system-wide protocols for managing patients with chronic critical illness and recovery pathways. Create training curricula for staff physicians, fellows, advanced practice providers, nurses, and respiratory therapists. Advance clinical research, multicenter trials, and translational research in this expanding field.
