Role Overview
A Systems Administrator manages and maintains the technology infrastructure of our multi-location restaurant group. This role will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and daily operations of our network systems, POS platforms, back-office applications, and other technology used across our restaurants and corporate office. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, performance, and security while supporting a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings in accordance with company policies. Assist with the planning, testing, and deployment of system updates, enhancements, and new software implementations. Collaborate with vendors and service providers on POS updates, network issues, and software licensing. Support technology rollouts for new restaurant openings, relocations, and remodels. Conduct regular system backups, patch management, and preventative maintenance. Maintain inventory of IT equipment, licenses, and assets. Participate in the after-hours support rotation for critical system issues. Maintain and monitor all server, network, and POS systems for optimal performance. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software including Windows servers, desktops, POS systems, printers, and peripherals. Analyze system usage and performance metrics to identify areas for automation, optimization, or process streamlining. Setup, maintain, troubleshoot, and support hospitality-related business systems such as room inventory applications and property management systems. Utilize IT management and monitoring applications to manage network accounts and monitor performance of infrastructure endpoints. Assist in the resolution of escalated operational support issues. Support user and security setup including account setup and permission sets. Provide remote and on-site technical support for restaurant managers and corporate staff. Assist with configuration and maintenance of workflows, custom fields, reports, and dashboards to support business needs and increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Essential
3+ years of experience in systems administration, preferably in a hospitality or restaurants. Experience in Microsoft Office365 and the products i.e. Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Toast Strong understanding of POS systems, hardware, software, and related technologies. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and other teams. Ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals. Experience with POS systems (Toast) strongly preferred. Hands on experience supporting and troubleshooting complex IT systems and processes Exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally, via phone, email etc. Ability to work nights and weekends on special projects and tasks as needed
Desired
Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and networking. Familiarity with restaurant technology systems such as KDS, online ordering, third-party delivery integrations, and surveillance systems. Proven experience as a Systems or Network Administrator or in a similar role within IT support Familiarity with Meraki products and their deployment in enterprise environments Proficiency in managing Active Directory services in a Windows domain environment Experience with various operating systems, particularly Windows Server editions and SQL Experience in Microsoft Office365 and the products i.e. Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Toast Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services, including Azure and Office 365, internet technologies and mobile technologies would be an asset Good communication skills, possess systematic and analytical problem-solving ability Service oriented with good interpersonal and customer relations skills Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks. Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
