Manage and administer PostgreSQL and Sybase databases to ensure maximum performance and availability. Monitor database systems and troubleshoot potential issues to minimise downtime. Implement database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with development teams to optimise database designs and queries. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including upgrades and patch management. Analyse database performance metrics and implement tuning strategies when required. Provide second-level (L2) support for database-related incidents and service requests. The Successful Applicant
A successful Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/Sybase DBA-L2) should have: Proven expertise in managing PostgreSQL and Sybase database environments.
