The Senior Sales Trainer is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for Medica's direct-to-consumer national sales team. This role creates and delivers training programs that prepare the team to provide the best possible service to consumers and business partners. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can assess business needs and develop content that drives results. Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Accountabilities:
New Employee Onboarding
Assess team needs and develop onboarding program for new employees joining the National Sales Team
Provide an overview of Medica's consumer product offerings - Medicare, Individual + Family (IFB) and Medicaid
Develop training materials for systems utilized by the team, including CRM systems, Connecture, Broker Tracking System, Broker Client View, etc.
Lead general trainings, including Welcome to Medica, Medicare 101, ACA 101, etc.
Inside Sales Training
Schedule and lead multi-week training sessions for new Inside Sales team members
Provide continual training support to the Inside Sales team, as needed
Support documentation of team resources
Implement training program to help enhance Medicare Star ratings
Identify training opportunities to increase sales performance, as needed
Broker Experience Training
Schedule and lead multi-week training sessions for new Broker Experience team members
Provide continual training support to the Broker Experience team, as needed
Support documentation of team resources
New Technology Rollout
Lead training for rollout of new technologies
Serve as the training lead for the implementation of Salesforce
Develop training documentation for new technologies
Misc. Training
Facilitate annual new product training sessions, in partnership with Sales Enablement team
Coordinate ad hoc trainings as needed
Continually assess team development and respond with training opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
5 years of work experience beyond degree
Skills and Experience:
Healthcare product knowledge
Experience with virtual training platforms
Experience writing and developing content for diverse platforms
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in an environment that is constantly changing, at times with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.
The full salary range for this position is $61,500 - $105,400. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
