Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: High school or GED. two years' experience in health care work at the level of health care assistant or an associate of arts in mental health; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience must be in the field of mental health. Life experience may be substituted for work experience at the discretion of the supervisor. 2 years' experience in a health care setting, some knowledge of addiction and recovery programs
Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included: Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.
RHA is looking for a Qualified Professional to join the Clinical Crisis Team at the Behavioral Health Crisis Center! The ideal candidate holds one of the following credentials in NC: QP, CADC, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LCSW, LCSW-A.
Work Location:
Crisis Center (Asheville - 356 Biltmore Ave.)
Schedule:
Friday and Saturday 8:00am-8:00pm
Compensation : Starting at $24+/hour (base pay) commensurate with experience (plus 10-15% shift differential for evening and weekend hours). No on call expectation! No productivity requirement! Supportive and positive work
environment Provides crisis risk assessment and clinical recommendation to individuals seeking behavioral health crisis services, in a supportive team environment.
Job Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders in the crisis center; ensuring the safety and well being of each patient; and supporting the maintenance of the therapeutic environment. Triage Complete crisis assessment Provide clinical recommendations and case management Demonstrate de-escalation skills and solution focused approach Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a humans services field with 2 years of experience in the behavioral health field OR 4 years experience and a degree in a non-related field Valid driver's license and automotive insurance required Pre-employment screening:
Complete criminal background Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities) Drug testing Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references (if required) Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
