Aston Carter . Job Description We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing procurement activities, supervising a team of buyers, and optimizing purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing, hands-on ERP experience, and a collaborative leadership style. Responsibilities Supervise a team of 3-4 buyers. Manage purchase orders for raw materials and internal/external purchases. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and lead negotiations. Collaborate with production, logistics, shipping/receiving, and customer service teams. Streamline purchasing processes using Acumatica ERP. Maintain detailed records and documentation. Organize workflows to improve efficiency. Implement new strategies and drive operational improvements. Create and send purchase orders to vendors. Coordinate shipments, including necessary paperwork. Essential Skills 57 years of experience in purchasing or procurement. Strong ERP experience (SAP required; Acumatica a plus). Manufacturing industry experience. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the biotech industry is preferred. Experience in creating structure and streamlining processes. Ability to take and implement feedback. Comfortable stepping down from a previous management role. Work Environment This is an onsite role in Carlsbad, CA, working closely with other department supervisors in a collaborative team. The work schedule is MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. The dress code is business casual, suitable for a GMP environment dealing with small parts. The company offers a stable, long-term environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits, which may depend on your employment classification and length of employment.
