TeamHealth OB/Gyn hospitalist programs provide an opportunity to further your career by serving as a medical director for our existing OB/Gyn hospitalist program at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. TeamHealth's medical directors collaborate and support the clinical team, work alongside hospital leadership and medical staff, and serve as part of the clinical team. As a member of the TeamHealth OB/GYN leadership team, the facility medical director reports to the national medical director (NMD) or associate regional medical director (AMD), and collaborates with them, along with the senior vice president of operations and director of operations, to maintain close collaboration among the clinical team and hospital leadership, and to drive patient safety and quality initiatives as required by the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization. Ideal candidates will be board-certified with at least 2 years of leadership experience, demonstrate clinical excellence, possess superior communication skills, and practice clinically at the designated facility. Qualifications also include active and current skills across the full breadth of the OB/Gyn specialty, with the confidence to be the sole covering clinician in emergencies, and a focus on providing quality care with the patient’s well-being as the priority.
