is hiring for a Jr. Systems Administrator to support our ongoing mission for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC). This position is a full-time, 40-hour/week contract position supporting the Information Management Division of Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC). The successful applicant will work as a team to provide a full range of IT services necessary to deliver systems administration support and services. The prospective new hire will provide updated documentation through a system of record and review documentation as required to maintain accuracy (Service Now). What You'll Do: Provide state-of-the-art system administration solutions and support for hardware and software platforms to include Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) and Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications that reside on them. The GOTS/COTS hardware/software supported include: application servers, web servers, print servers, virtual file servers, reporting tools, etc., and all tasks associated with their backup/recovery, performance, and operations. Install, maintain, configure and optimize PC and Network Operating Systems, to include but not limited to Microsoft, Uniplexed Information and Computing System (UNIX), Linux, Cloud Computing Environment, and VMware server operating systems. Provide technical support, analysis, data management, and server management to sustain the operational computing environment. Shall be responsible for the management of predominately Windows, VMware and other operating systems within MAMC. Shall support and maintain the operating systems, patches, upgrades, and apply Cyber Security (CS) requirements for all assigned systems within MAMC. Shall ensure that these systems are online and available to MAMC customers and ensure backups and contingency issues are addressed in the event of failures. Shall provide remote management, monitoring, and visibility to assets throughout the organization and environment. The Contractor shall utilize tools such as, but not limited to Microsoft System Configuration Center Manager (SCCM), DameWare, Tanium, and ForeScout to provide desktop, laptop, and server asset inventory, remote control capabilities, and software and patch deployment. Shall support, maintain, and upgrade the MAMC operating systems, patching packages and hardware upgrades. What You Bring: Must be a U.S. citizen Must consent to and be able to pass a Government background investigation (includes finger-printing) Certifications REQUIRED: at a minimum, CompTIA Security+ AND a Server environment certification such as CompTIA Server+. Experience providing IT customer support in a professional setting.
