Job Description: Position Summary The ACC Student Technician supports the operations of the Anderson Computing Complex (ACC) computer labs. The Student Technician ensures that all computers and printers in the computer labs are functional, and helps maintain a clean and quiet workspace for patrons. The incumbent also assists faculty in the instructional use of electronic equipment in the classroom and computer lab. The ACC Student Assistant will be scheduled to work between 12-20 hours per week. Essential Functions:
: Assisting technicians to update and troubleshoot computers and printers in the ACC
Checking the condition of the computers and printers in the ACC
Providing technical support to patrons
Locating software, training, classrooms, and other resources for patrons
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-Time.
Current AU student.
The scheduled weekly hours are 12-20 hours per week.
Salary Range: $17.95 per hour.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience using Mac and PC Computers.
Knowledge of Adobe CC and/or FinalCut Pro.
Excellent customer service.
interpersonal, organization, communication, and problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting computers and printers.
