We are a nonprofit community foundation, comprised of over 1,600 funds, that assists people and organizations with their charitable giving, provides financial aid to college students, and makes community grants to nonprofit organizations in Forsyth County. We are the oldest foundation in North Carolina, and one of the oldest community foundations in the country. Since 2018, the Foundation has been committed to racial equity as both a community priority and a core aspect of our organizational culture.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Vice President, Community Investment, leads strategies to increase our community’s understanding and investment in areas of critical need in Forsyth County. This role oversees the community investment team, focusing on advancing equity in education and building an inclusive economy, responsive grantmaking, student aid, and mission-aligned investing programs. The Vice President is a skilled collaborator and communicator who helps translate a bold vision for community change into actionable initiatives, ensuring Winston-Salem becomes a place where race no longer predicts life outcomes. The position reports to the President and is a key member of the Foundation’s leadership team.
