Under the general direction of the Project and Program Supervisor, the analyst will be part of a team of energy professionals and will use analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex regulatory problems. Specifically, the analyst will lead the implementation of zonal decarbonization efforts mandated pursuant to SB 1221 (Min, 2024). This is a senior-level analyst position involving regulatory oversight for large energy programs, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, development of technical research, oversight of evaluation studies, leading meetings, providing presentations, and supporting the state's goals of addressing climate change through building electrification. The California Public Utilities Commission is a leading agency working to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability in California. The Building Decarbonization Section aims to decarbonize California's residences and workplaces by transitioning to buildings and appliances powered by clean electric generation.
