Our Data Center Facilities team (formerly EYP Mission Critical Facilities) is a leader in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning, and Testing, with experience in thousands of data centers worldwide. We serve enterprise, institutional, web-scale, service provider, and colocation clients. We help clients understand how to bring data closer to their customers, integrating IT and facilities for rapid deployment and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Act as a commissioning agent for mechanical systems including cooling/heating, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems across various environments. Manage project plans, specifications, and execute multidisciplinary commissioning assignments for large facilities. Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related documentation. Follow quality management and QC procedures to validate and document systems. Gather documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors. Develop site-specific commissioning plans and review factory witness test procedures for major equipment. Attend factory witness tests and prepare detailed deficiency reports. Lead commissioning meetings and ensure proper documentation. Develop and execute functional tests for mechanical systems. Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and compile comprehensive final reports. Manage external resources, coordinate meetings, and participate in construction and coordination meetings. Interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to execute assignments. Provide progress reports and meeting notes to project and facility managers. Respond to customer inquiries professionally to exceed expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/industrial training with 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or construction management. Previous experience in Data Center/Mission Critical environments. Experience in commissioning or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems. Strong communication skills working with general contractors. Knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and construction materials/methods. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. This does not include bonuses or benefits.
