The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving external and internal quality of manufacturing cells, supporting new product introduction, assisting VAVE engineers, and avoiding line-down technical issues in production. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is part of the Operations Department located in San Jose. It is an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Verify and implement quality defect countermeasures, and sustain results in electromechanical and optical systems, with reagents and consumables. Drive product quality improvement through process development and design changes internally and with suppliers. Support daily production related to build (process) and quality issues through hands-on troubleshooting and perform Change Orders. Own internal quality reports (data collection and reporting). Lead projects with moderate guidance as needed to achieve our team’s key performance indicators. The essential requirements of the job include: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent degree. 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing role (or equivalent experience), with experience driving quality improvements with products and suppliers. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills. Ability to work with and drive cross-functional teams. Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills and a driven individual with a passion for improving product and process quality. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Utilizing knowledge of Danaher Business System lean tools such as Standardized Work, Problem Solving Process, Waste Elimination to drive process improvements and improve efficiencies. Danaher Benefits Info . The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 USD – $105,000 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting and may be adjusted in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). Note: Compensation is considered earned and vested only when paid. Bonus, benefits, and other compensation are at the company's discretion. Join our team today.
