Contract Role Description:
This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The DevOps Director will be responsible for setup, configuration, monitoring, and management of IT applications, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure. Responsibilities include vendor system integrations, network connectivity, and security aspects of data and infrastructure. Main Responsibilities:
Define and implement strategies for end-to-end management of cloud and on-prem infrastructure supporting large-scale PBM Pharmacy business operations. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to determine DevOps best practices and infrastructure requirements. Build CI/CD automation pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and manage deployments across environments. Implement 24/7 infrastructure and application performance monitoring to ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Ensure disaster recovery, business continuity, and audit plans are in place, monitored, and updated regularly. Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure and increase efficiency without disrupting business operations. Act as an escalation point for faults, lead incident investigations, and follow-up. Hire, train, coach, and evaluate performance of direct reports. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of IT management experience or equivalent background. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, infrastructure design and scaling, containers in Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation. Experience with observability and monitoring tools. Cloud networking and security, with AWS and Azure experience. Operational skills including cloud patching, cluster upgrades, incident management.
