About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as
Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25 . This position is located at the US Army Pacific Activity, G2/DCSINT Operational Activity, Fort Shafter, HI 96858. Duties Serves as a senior Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Operations Cell (HOC) Chief within the Counterintelligence (CI) and HUMINT Division (G2X), Operations Intelligence Directorate (G2), U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC). Conducts mission management, coordination, deconfliction, and synchronization of all HUMINT activities in his/her assigned AOR. Conducts operational coordination between DoD, INSCOM, COCOM, other ASCCs, Sister Service Component Commands, other government agencies, and Department of the Army for HUMINT matters. Plans and schedules work assignments, assures equitable distribution of work, sets priorities, and reviews completed work of subordinates
Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Must obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). This position is designated as KEY, meaning the position cannot be vacated during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission. Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required at 20% or less of the time for CONUS and OCONUS, as well as frequently extended duty with long hours under high pressure and generally high-risk job responsibilities. Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph Examination. Must have completed or complete the Military Source Operations Category 1 training within 15 months from date of employment.
