A law firm seeks a Criminal Defense Attorney in Bakersfield, CA. This role offers a dedicated attorney the chance to gain valuable experience and advance their career within an established firm. The attorney will manage their caseload, engage with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Duties
Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents. Attend pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice post-hearing. Manage court appearances, draft motions, and conduct legal research. Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents. Gather evidence to support client cases or counter prosecution charges. Prepare clients for depositions and gather supporting information from witnesses and experts. Requirements
At least 1 year of criminal defense experience. Experience with complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels. Team player open to collaboration and strategizing. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to client service. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications
Admitted to practice law in California. Skills
