This role supports our Core Lab business, which plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely diagnostic results that empower healthcare providers to make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. The Opportunity:

As a Field Engineering Specialist at Roche Support Network, you will: Showcase your expertise in technical repair for Roche-assigned product lines. Provide valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory. Offer routine technical support, on-site service, and repair of Roche products. Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures. Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

This field-based role requires daily travel and up to 50% overnight travel. Ideally, candidates reside within 25 miles of Washington, DC. Who You Are: High school diploma and 2 years of technical school, military training, or equivalent work experience. 5 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking, or a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field plus 1-2 years of experience. Successfully trained or certified as per RD Services Leadership and policy. Ability to travel, including overnight stays, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of experience or a relevant Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of experience. Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, IT, and chemistry. Ability to serve as an internal technical resource, support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position. The salary range for this position based in Washington, DC is $68,900 - $127,900 USD, with actual pay based on experience and other factors. A discretionary bonus may be available, and benefits are detailed at the provided link. Who we are
