Senior-Level Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Analyst
to support the US Navy Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring (SHAREM) at Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in
San Diego, CA.
This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing, with an estimated award/work start late 2025. We are conducting preliminary, "contingent" hiring for roles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.
Responsibilities:
Design test and data collection plans for exercises
Lead observer aboard exercise units to coordinate observation and data collection efforts to support exercise reconstruction
Develop exercise messages
Reconstruct exercise events
Analyze exercise results according to the Analysis Plan
Author analytical reports such as Reconstruction and Analysis, Cross or Focused Study, and Annual Reports
Location: Onsite at Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in San Diego, CA.
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel is anticipated to include CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments, which may involve repetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches), speaking or vision.
Pay Range: The anticipated pay range is $90,000 - $126,000/year, based on education, qualifications, and experience.
Security Clearance: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. Candidates must already possess an active or interim clearance. Candidates with strong relevant experience but no active clearance may be considered, but work start depends on securing a new Secret clearance.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Fifteen (15) years of US Navy experience in ship, submarine, and aircraft operations and warfare tasks, including at least six (6) years in managing projects or programs
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication skills
