We are seeking a passionate and community-driven

Marketing Specialist

to amplify Saahas’ mission and programs. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to engage the South Asian community in Southern California and beyond, utilizing social media, digital platforms, newsletters, and community-based media to share resources, highlight services, and strengthen visibility. This role requires creativity, cultural awareness, and a strong understanding of nonprofit marketing to boost outreach, elevate impact stories, and support fundraising. Key Responsibilities

Community Marketing & Outreach Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Saahas programs, events, and services. Maintain strong awareness of South Asian community trends, events, and media outlets in Southern California and across the U.S. Represent Saahas in the community and collaborate with local media partners to increase visibility. Digital Marketing & Social Media Create engaging and culturally relevant content for social media platforms, newsletters, and website. Manage Saahas’

monthly newsletter , ensuring stories highlight impact, programs, and resources. Live-post and share updates during community events, trainings, and meetings. Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies to improve reach and impact. Storytelling & Impact Representation Collect and present program data in a compelling, story-driven format for reports, newsletters, and campaigns. Support

board presentations

with creative materials and impact data visualizations. Collaborate with staff to highlight client stories, success outcomes, and community resources. Campaigns, Fundraising & Engagement Launch and manage digital campaigns to spread awareness of resources and initiatives. Actively participate in

fundraising campaigns

and donor engagement efforts. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms. Grants & Compliance Assist in preparing reports for grants related to outreach, engagement, and marketing. Follow all grant protocols related to communications and branding requirements. Collaboration & Teamwork Work closely with the Executive Director and Operations Head to align communications with organizational goals. Participate in internal trainings and integrate learnings into outreach. Support events, workshops, and campaigns with marketing materials and coverage. Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based setting. Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, digital marketing tools, and newsletters. Excellent communication skills in English

and

at least one South Asian language (Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, etc.). Must have valid work authorization in the U.S. Must be based in the Greater Los Angeles area and available for a hybrid (remote + in-person) schedule. Preferred Experience working with immigrant, South Asian, or multicultural communities. Familiarity with graphic design, video editing, or content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, CapCut). Knowledge of nonprofit marketing, fundraising campaigns, and grant reporting. Saahas for Cause is an equal opportunity employer.
