Overview Microsoft Azure Storage is a highly distributed, massively scalable, and ubiquitously accessible cloud storage platform. Azure storage already runs at Exascale (storing Exabytes of data), and we plan to scale our designs over the next decade to support Zettascale (storing Zettabytes of data). Within Azure Storage, the xDPU team focuses on deploying the storage stack on Data Processing Unit (DPU) based nodes to deliver unmatched performance at the lowest cost. We are hiring experienced engineers to join us in developing and deploying DPU-based storage solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Storage, you will: Design, implement, optimize, and maintain the Azure Storage Stack on DPU nodes. Be involved in all phases of the storage lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features. Use feedback channels to inform future designs and solutions. Review work items to deepen product knowledge and execute project and release plans. Develop, reuse, and maintain code that is extensible and reliable, considering diagnosability and maintainability. Leverage expertise across product features to drive project and release plans. Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentor engineers, and monitor system health.
