Experienced Maintenance Technician

What you will do:
Perform a diverse range of technical duties involving electronic diagnostics, computer equipment, and precision instruments to diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, or maintain equipment effectively.
Conduct mechanical repairs and regular maintenance on equipment and rolling stock, including cutting, welding, and repairing various mechanical components.
Identify causes of malfunctions by observing machinery and equipment, using both sight and sound.
Activate and operate equipment to confirm the correction of any issues.
Engage in preventive maintenance by inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery and components.
Adjust mechanisms related to operational aspects such as feed, speed, and power input/output.
Utilize mechanical and electronic test equipment for inspections and repairs.
Possess specific knowledge regarding the operation and maintenance of pumps, conveyor systems, motors, and drives.
Stay updated on technical advancements and equipment designs through continuous training and classes.
Contribute to improvement and planning teams as necessary.
Work flexible hours including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety rules and regulations, including proper use of safety equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience you will need:
High School diploma or GED required.
Able to complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Must provide own tools.
Experience in precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps.
Proficient in troubleshooting common mechanical issues involving bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
At least two years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment.
Experience with fabrication, cutting with a torch, and welding with an arc welder.
Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Adaptable to working under varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
Physical capability to bend, reach, walk, lift, and climb as needed.
Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Able to be on-call for emergencies when required.
Keen interest in cross-training and learning new skills.
Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
What will make you stand out:
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as reading hydraulic schematics.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Experience in lubrication preventative maintenance and troubleshooting lubrication-related failures.
