Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Inspector in this 1st shift position will be working in a custom job shop environment and is responsible for the quality inspection of welds. This role involves utilizing blueprints, a tape measure, and occasionally micrometers and calipers. The role is split between 60% documentation and 40% quality inspections. Candidates need to be detail-oriented and complete paperwork promptly. Training is available for candidates with a basic understanding of using a tape measure and micrometers and who are comfortable working with finished parts.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality inspections of welds using blueprints, tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Perform documentation tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Collaborate with the production team to maintain quality standards.

Maintain inspection equipment and report any discrepancies.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using a tape measure.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience with welding inspections.

Strong documentation writing skills.

Familiarity with using micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in parts inspection and quality inspection.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The position is based in a custom job shop welding and machining environment, which can be hot during the summer months and cooler in the winter months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
