Job Title: Senior Director of Finance

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite, 5 days per week – non-negotiable)

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

The Senior Director of Finance will report directly to the CFO and play a critical leadership role within the Finance team. This position is responsible for managing investor-facing requests, supporting quarterly and ad hoc reporting, overseeing portfolio valuations, and serving as a key liaison between Finance and Investor Relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution, completion, and review of all client service requests directed to the Finance team.
• Manage, mentor, and oversee Finance Associates and Senior Associates handling investor and fundraising requests (due diligence questionnaires, quarterly track records, recurring investor requests, and updates to investor contact/wire instructions).
• Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and Investor Relations.
• Actively participate in operational due diligence meetings with incoming investors.
• Support other Finance team responsibilities, including review of valuations of portfolio companies, review of quarterly financial workpapers prepared by the fund administrator, and other activities impacting quarterly and ad hoc client reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting, with a background in Asset Management (Private Equity experience strongly preferred).
• CPA required.
• Proven ability to operate in a polished, professional environment with strong executive presence.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $230,000 – $260,000 Total Compensation
• Bonus Eligibility: Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
• Other Compensation: No equity or profit-sharing is included for this role.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums covered for employee and dependents.
• 401(k) retirement plan available (no employer match).
• Paid Time Off (PTO) offered on an accrual basis up to 152 hours per year.
• 10 Paid Holidays annually.
• Paid Sick Leave where applicable by state law.
• Up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
• Term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and additional voluntary benefits available.
