IT Program Manager

As an IT Program Manager, you will establish and lead Centre of Excellence on Agile/DevOps practices within the IT department by managing the adoption of Agile/DevOps and a culture of continuous improvement. Other duties include: Work with Product Owner, UX team, Solution Architect to identify and establish milestones to track project. Monitor project performance and create reports for leadership team. Create various presentations including weekly status report and sprint metrics for the team. Produce, track and communicate sprint/release and team metrics and performance to appropriate stakeholders. Manage scrum master items that include owning Sprint/Release calendar management, sprint planning, helping the team make appropriate commitments through story sizing and task definition, and leading effective retrospectives. Monitor team backlog daily and ensure it accurately reflects the current state, including time to be burned and status. Protect the team from outside interference, removing impediments, and ensure that the work is delivered as a team. Accurately identify potential roadblocks for future sprints and work with team management to resolve expeditiously. Identify, evaluate and rise risks to leadership. Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions. Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation. Foster self-organization, empower the team to make decisions and remove decision making barriers whenever possible. Foster transparency and visibility and radiate information to strengthen the presence of our team within the Agile Community of Practice. Wear multiple hats, as needed by the team, to keep project moving and team motivated. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Certified as a ScrumMaster from an accredited institution. Certified Scrum Professional / Master with over 5 years of experience leading scaled Agile initiatives. 10+ years of experience as a Scrum master leading an Agile scrum development team. Ability to break down project schedule/sprint schedule into measurable activities that do not exceed five days in length. Experience with Agile/Scrum management tools (Confluence, Jira, etc.). Continuous integration and automated deployment experience for multi-branched, multi-module projects using Jenkins or similar tools is preferred.
