Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification and at least one year of specialty experience for a full-time assignment.
Responsibilities Work in a mammography department performing radiographic exams and advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainagesServe an adult female patient population focused on breast imaging and diagnosisUse mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with departmental protocolDay shift schedule with ten 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays requiredUtilize the Epic charting system for documentationPerform radiologic mammography exams independently with appropriate patient identification, order verification, and advanced imaging techniquesUtilize radiation protection and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure patient and staff safetyResponsible for accurate documentation, image storage, and maintenance of records in compliance with JCAHO and state radiation requirementsCross-train and stay current on new mammography procedures and equipmentReport to a collaborative team environment with periodic Saturday shiftsFirst-time travelers will be consideredDrug screening and background check results must be submitted promptly, and start dates may be adjusted based on compliance deadlinesAll certifications must be unexpired and submitted prior to assignment consideration
