We are seeking an Instrument Technician responsible for maintaining instrumentation and HVAC control systems at the Wyandotte site. This role involves supporting office buildings, labs, small-scale process equipment, warehouses, and operations. The technician will perform a variety of tasks, including instrumentation and controls maintenance, basic pipe fitting, millwright, insulation, and operator assistance tasks. The position requires excellent troubleshooting, communication, and listening skills.

This role will be filled at a level commensurate with candidate experience

During your day shift as a Instrument Technician I, you will

Install, wire, calibrate, and repair a wide variety of chemical process instrumentation.

Read P&ID's, flow diagrams, single line diagrams, loop diagrams, sequence charts, and interlock tables.

Use manufacturers' technical literature and communicate with vendors' technical representatives.

Perform control loop calibrations and field/bench calibration of process instruments.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections.

Work overtime, call in, after hours, and weekends when needed.

Maintain excellent safety skills and comply with OSHA and plant-specific safety procedures.

Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Develop and revise documentation related to equipment repair/calibration procedures and preventive maintenance inspection protocols.

If you...

Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

Hold 1 year of Instrumentation maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Have 2 years of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Have basic computer literacy: Windows operating system, Outlook e-mail, and databases.

Are experienced with SAP computerized maintenance management system.

Are able to install control wiring and work on power wiring up to 480V 3-phase.

Have the ability to calibrate and maintain a wide variety of instrumentation, with explosive gas detection being an advantage.

Are able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift with access to assistance when needed.
