Description

Job Summary Provides food and beverage service to members and guests in member dining rooms, and designated rooms throughout the Club for events and meetings. Position is within the Unite Here Local #17 Union.

Exhibit sound time management and organizational skills. Ensure the supplies needed to operate are properly stocked. Maintain an organized and clean workstation that is member ready. Employment Policies/Safe Work Environment

Report all accidents to your supervisor immediately. Take pride in the club - report all damage or vandalism to club property. Report all safety hazards to your supervisor. Follow all club policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook. Follow all departmental rules communicated by your supervisor. Essential Job Functions

Establish polite, pleasant and business-like rapport with members and guests. Set up side station and perform assigned work. Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon arrival. Offer daily specials and takes orders. Recommend wine with evening meals when appropriate. Offer cocktails, aperitifs, cordials and refreshments when appropriate. Communicate orders through the POS System to the kitchen and bar staff; communicate any special cooking instructions to cooks. Assembles food on tray; acquires items from each station as necessary. Serves meals; place dishes by course in front of each person; serves from the left of each person. Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenish water, coffee, butter, etc. as necessary. Removes soiled dishes. Suggest and serves desserts, coffee and after dinner drinks. Ensure proper charging by requesting and presenting chits for signature. Keep tables, dining room and station clean. Assist in bussing and resetting of tables and rooms when necessary. Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur. Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty Attend pre-meal and event meetings. Prepare all chits correctly providing complete information and turns in signed chits at the end of each shift. Knowledge of Club liquor policies and procedures. Knowledge of Club menus in all dining outlets. Knowledge of Club liquor offerings. Requirements

Job Qualifications

Highly motivated with a bright positive attitude Excellent communication skills Computer proficiency for mobile and desktop POS applications 2 years experience serving in a restaurant Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. of tray service regularly Ability to stand on feet for extended period of time Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
