Organization Summary Statement
The Production Coordinator will oversee the coordination and execution of a variety of events for The Clarice, as well as its clients and collaborators, including large and complex events. The Production Coordinator is responsible for pre-event planning and coordination as well as onsite event supervision. The Production Coordinator works in a manner and style that facilitates cooperation and collaboration between the Clarice, SOM and TDPS. The Clarice's Production Coordinator develops and maintains an effective production process, promotes a positive educational environment and ensures consistency of service to the Clarice programs and its clients, its collaborators and resident academic units. This position promotes a safe and productive workplace by ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Evening and weekend work is required.
Preferences & Additional Certifications: Experience teaching and/or working in an educational setting Experience in orchestral management or operations An understanding of VectorWorks, Excel, Google products, Event Management System (EMS), and crew scheduling software Creating and maintaining scheduling and resource management software Experience in implementing operating policies and procedures Knowledge of current practices and procedures in professional performing arts management Familiarity with current performing arts facilities, equipment, and technologies Superior communication skills Strong organization and management skills Demonstrated ability to supervise crews working in event type situations Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary Supervisory experience Valid U.S. Driver's License
Physical Demands: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) years of administrative or clerical experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of project management with demonstrated successful outcomes. Knowledge of and experience with project management software. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
