Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an R&D engineer for a large agriculture client. This individual will be responsible for software development for any custom machine required of them including but not limited to lab equipment, field equipment, and costal devices. All R&D partners have been working with a 3rd party vendor and are looking to bring a complete device back in house to complete version 5 of this project. Once at version 5, they will begin version 6 of the project to improve the project. This person will be working most often with the mechanical team spending 80% of their time developing embedded software solutions with Python and C++, and 20% of their time being engaged for other custom solutions. Their main objective will be working with fish eye camera device (LiDAR) images and mapping them to GPS signals by predicting raw data and mapping it to GPS locations. This candidate will be compensated starting at $45/HR.

Skills and Requirements
• 5 years of experience developing software solutions for embedded systems
○ Take code and install and test on hardware
○ CPUs, processors
• 5+ years of experience with C++ for embedded systems
• 5+ years of experience with Python for embedded systems
• 5+ years NVidia Jetson Platform (physical electronic)
• 5+ Gstreamer (How video is acquired through programming)
○ Bassler cameras (current), connected to boards, considering moving to GMSL cameras
Ability to drive a project • Experience with Nvidia Jetson Orin or Xavier (boards)
• Experience developing solutions in C#, .NET
• Experience with PLC Programming
○ Structured Text preferred
