We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated
Shipping and Receiving Associate
to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order processing, and maintaining proper documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Shipping and Receiving Associate, within the Warehouse/Logistics Department, reports to the Accounting & Inventory Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents. Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and in a timely manner. Use shipping software and coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Maintain and update shipping and receiving logs and internal tracking systems. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners (if certified). Copy, scan, and file shipping and receiving documents electronically and physically. Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to deliveries and shipments. Keep warehouse organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards. Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling. Strong skills in copying, scanning, and electronic file management. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and inventory. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently. Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities without constant supervision. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) and stand for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment preferred. Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures Regular use of computers, scanners, and warehouse equipment Fast-paced environment with time-sensitive tasks
