Senior Full Stack Engineer - Modernization Project

Position Overview: We are seeking a strong Senior Software Engineer to support a NGA project in downtown St Louis with the Geospatial Center of Excellence. This is an exciting Modernization initiative providing enterprise architectural, engineering, operations and sustainment, modification, and testing of geospatial-intelligence core services. This utilizes secure cloud environments, and a modern agile development methodology making data accessible, discoverable, and deliverable to the IC. Candidates must be passionate, energized and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and develop secure, scalable APIs and modern front-end applications Deliver high-quality code in Python and/or Java for enterprise systems Build fast, responsive user interfaces using React.js, Angular, and TypeScript Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases Deploy containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift in AWS cloud environments Work closely with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and iterate quickly Tackle highly complex development challenges from day one-this team moves fast and values results Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field 10+ years of experience in software engineering/development, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. Experience in Python and/or Java for enterprise application development Proven ability to build front-end applications using React.js, Angular, and TypeScript Web services architecture, design, and implementation Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database design Experience working within AWS (S3, EC2, etc.) and familiarity with modern AWS tooling Proficient in Docker, OpenShift, and DevSecOps best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions Clearance: Active TS/SCI required on day one Ideal Candidates Will: Be excited to work on mission-critical projects that directly support national security Thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting requirements and evolving technologies Have the flexibility to jump between application types and quickly get up to speed Possess a strong sense of ownership, grit, and the ability to work independently Demonstrate a high level of technical integrity and confidence-this team will test your skills early, and reward your success What's in It for You: Direct hire role with strong salary potential $10,000 sign-on bonus (can be used for relocation expenses) Opportunity to work on a flagship modernization project with cutting-edge technologies Tight-knit, high-performance team environment Long-term career growth supporting a high-profile national program
