Class A CDL Driver
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating automatic trucks and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. When not making deliveries, the driver will assist with various warehouse duties. This is listed as a temporary assignment, but the right candidate might have long term potential should the need arise later in the assignment. Responsibilities: Operate Class A automatic trucks to transport goods to various locations. Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods, adhering to delivery schedules. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and maintenance activities. Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and protected during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues. Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly to the appropriate personnel. Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and operational efficiency. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries. Assist with warehouse duties such as pulling orders, working in the yard in various weather conditions, and performing housekeeping tasks when not making deliveries. Operate sitdown forklifts to move and organize inventory within the warehouse. Requirements: Valid Class A CDL. Experience driving automatic trucks. Clean driving record. Strong communication skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience operating sitdown forklifts. ** Must be 21 years or older!** All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. All drivers must hold at a minimum a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. All drivers must have at least one (1) year of driving the class of vehicles they will be driving while assigned to Enterprises, Inc. All drivers must have had a CDL for minimum of one year. In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations. Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor. Validate directions. Unload or assist in unloading material as required. Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits. Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature. Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day. Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit. Pick up local-pickup purchase orders. Secure and return packing list(s). Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site. Verify the customers signature on the delivery ticket. Print name next to signature.
