Welder 1st Shift

The role requires welding on hard steel material, focusing primarily on MIG and pulse-style hardwire .045 welding techniques. The position involves working with ultra-sonic welding, ensuring high-quality skilled welds on heavy materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thickness. Welders will work in a heat treat style environment and are expected to handle their own setups, layouts of fixtures, and fit-ups. This position also offers the opportunity to become certified and trained in welding all components of concrete boom trucks, with all welding being X-Rayed and certified.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and pulse-style hardwire .045 welding on hard steel materials.
  • Execute ultra-sonic welding on heavy materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thick.
  • Handle setups, layouts of fixtures, and fit-ups independently.
  • Participate in certification and training for welding components of concrete boom trucks.
  • Ensure all welds meet X-Ray and certification standards.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in MIG welding on heavy gauge materials.
  • Proficiency in pulse-style MIG welding with hardwire .045.
  • 1+ year experience in reading blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The standard work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime available, typically extending from 5am to 3:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
