We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience programming and operating CNC lathes specifically Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan machines to produce high-quality components that meet tight tolerances and production goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Programming
•Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes using Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code.
•Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to create efficient and accurate machining programs.
•Continuously refine existing programs to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and maintain quality standards.
Setup & Operation
•Set up CNC lathes according to job specifications, including tool selection, offsets, workholding, and machine parameters.
•Operate lathes to produce precision components within specified tolerances.
•Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Quality Assurance
•Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
•Identify and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, material inconsistencies, or equipment performance.
•Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling records, and production documentation.
Collaboration & Support
•Work closely with engineers, production staff, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines.
•Provide technical support and guidance to other operators when needed.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
•Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator.
•Proficiency with Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes.
•In-depth understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materials.
•Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
•Proficiency with Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code programming.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
•Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining is a plus.
