Sustaining Engineer I – Entry LevelnWe have an exciting opportunity for a Sustaining Engineer I to join a growing engineering team focused on product assurance and compliance. This role is ideal for an entry-level engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys hands-on problem-solving, and is eager to grow their career in the power industry.nAs a Sustaining Engineer, you will ensure that products meet industry standards and customer expectations for application, reliability, and quality. You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, modernize equipment, and support cost-reduction strategies that help maintain competitiveness in the market.nWhat You’ll DonnSupport product assurance initiatives to maintain reliability, quality, and compliance.nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and application teams to solve problems and meet customer needs.nDesign, test, and implement practical engineering solutions for customer applications.nAssist customers with application-specific design questions and analysis.nPartner with the manufacturing team to implement new processes and modernize equipment.nPerform hands-on evaluations in the shop and lab, including inspecting equipment using lifts and tools.nApply critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and make sound engineering decisions.nnWhat We’re Looking FornnBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; BSMET, BSEE, or BSEET also considered).n0–2 years of experience (internship or co-op experience strongly preferred).nProficiency with AutoCAD and 3D design software (SolidWorks strongly preferred).nStrong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.nAnalytical mindset and creative problem-solving ability.nWillingness to work hands-on with manufacturing and equipment.nAdaptability and comfort with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.nProject and time management skills.nAbility to travel up to 20% when needed.nnWhy This Role Is UniquenThis position is not just desk work—it’s highly collaborative and hands-on.
