Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment both inside and outside the plant. You will maintain various types of machinery involved in the process, working collaboratively with the maintenance crew to complete projects and uphold internal and external relationships. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring adherence to environmental compliance while performing maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sizing screeners, and process pumps. Responsibilities Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Maintain various types of machinery in the process. Collaborate with the maintenance crew to complete projects. Ensure compliance with environmental standards. Conduct maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sizing screeners, and process pumps. Essential Skills 3+ years of maintenance experience with mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Proficiency in electrical systems and preventive maintenance. Capability in welding and fabrication from prints, utilizing oxy/acetylene torch. Expertise in rigging and pipefitting. Experience with operation of hand and power tools. Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Skills in machine setup, repair, and machining. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to calculate load lifts. Possession of a Journeyman card. High school diploma or GED. Why Work Here?

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, Michigan. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
