Description

Position Summary

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service to all CWCR guests while mixing and serving drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to guests, directly or through wait staff.

Essential Functions

Providing exemplary guest service to all CWCR guests. Takes beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers in the lounge and on the gaming floor. Serves wine and bottled or draft beer. Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serves food items to guests seated at the bar. Operates Point of Sales (POS) system and collects money for drinks served. Checks identification of guests to verify age requirement for purchase of alcohol. Maintains, transports, and restocks beer, liquor, wine, mixes, fruit, and all other bar needs. Serves guest from start to finish including greeting, educating, obtaining orders, entering orders, delivering orders, and accepting payment in a prompt, efficient, and courteous basis. Performs all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities at the end of the shift. Monitors, controls, and tracks all product waste. Adheres to all OLCC and Chinook Winds Casino Resort policies and procedures regarding alcohol service. Maintains, transports, and delivers products, beer, liquor and wine inventory to bar and service locations. Sets up and tears down portable bar systems for specialty events. Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards. Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services. Provides input or recommendations for improvements/changes in program processes or services. All other duties as assigned. Requirements

Position Qualifications

WORKERS IN THIS POSITION MUST BE 21 OR OLDER

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

Two years of experience as a bartender.

Two years of internal Barback experience meets requirements.

Computer Skills

Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Certificates & Licenses

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Must have OLCC temporary permit before the start date and obtain OLCC Permit within 45 days of start date.

Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.

Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Persons) Permit within 30 days of employment.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.

Basic math skills.

Work Environment

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. Some or all of work may take place on the gaming floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
