As a Security Officer Retail Patrol in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a bustling retail and mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to any security-related concerns, always upholding the values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail environment. Support Allied Universal management in maintaining a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while upholding Allied Universal standards. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. A Guard Card is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
