As a Security Officer - Media Access Control in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading technology, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Must be able to use computers, tablets or cell phones Job Schedule: Day Time Monday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sunday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access procedures and site-specific policies. Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site guidelines, including responding to alarms and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity. Document and report all incidents, observations, and access control activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols. Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and coordinating with site management and/or emergency services as needed. Maintain a visible presence at access points to help deter potential security-related threats and promote a secure environment for all occupants. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: CPR certification is preferred. A valid Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
