Job Summary
As a Data Center Operations Technician, you'll be hands-on with critical technology infrastructure. You'll support the daily operations that keep our data center running smoothly - installing equipment, handling support tickets, running tests, and working directly with customers and vendors. This is a great opportunity if you have experience in technical support, cabling, or working in a hands-on IT environment and want to grow in the fast-paced world of data centers.
Responsibilities
Installations
Installation, termination and testing of fiber and copper cross connects
Provide customers with Remote Smart Hands service for remote data center management, custom installations and troubleshooting of equipment, troubleshooting, turn-up calls, light (db loss) meter tests, and general IT needs
Installation of cable management/support systems to include vertical wire managers, horizontal wire managers, and patch panels
Build/Install cages, ladder racks, fiber tray raceways, cabinets and customer equipment
Perform intra-cage and datacenter infrastructure installations
Schedule: 2/3 of the year is night shift from 7PM-7:30AM (with 30 minute lunch unpaid) on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday. 1/3 of the year it will be day shift 8AM to 4:30PM (with 30 minute lunch unpaid) Monday-Friday. Subject to change
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
A natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills
Experience working in a critical facility
Strong system level mechanical or electrical proficiency
You are capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and are agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, et.) with or without an accommodation
1+ years experience
High School Diploma
BERT and SONET test equipment
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - DE2 Denver : 45,000 - 69,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
